Out The Window Advertising Agency Announces Staff Expansion and Promotions
Flagstaff, AZ March 25, 2013 – Today, Out The Window Advertising (OTW) announced several changes in the organization.
Katie Hutchinson has been hired as Event Coordinator. She will lead the creation and execution of special events for OTW for several Penske Automotive locations in Arizona and Nevada. This is a newly created position at Out The Window Advertising. Since 2006, Hutchinson worked with Cox Media. Most recently, she was their Partnership Manager. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communication from Arizona State University.
Caesar Wirichaga joins the team at OTW as a Production Assistant. Wirichaga brings a wealth of past experience in art direction, graphic design and motion graphics. Caesar is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and the Miami Ad School in Minneapolis, MN.
Randall Witte has been promoted to Senior Production Artist. Witte has been with Out The Window Advertising since February 2012. Randall is a graduate from Westwood College in Chicago, Illinois where he received a BA in Visual Communication.

Wolfgang Egger firmly believes that “good design must always express a vision.” The Head of Audi Design senses that automotive design is ready for a change. “We need something new without breaking with tradition.” Audi Design has been reorganized, and Egger and his team are redefining their focus. They are placing more emphasis on the creative process and are thus exerting a substantial influence on the design of future Audi products.
Technology integrated into design
The refined Audi design language and philosophy will focus on a strong link between technology and design. Egger’s credo: “Only when design and technology mesh perfectly does an automobile make a statement for the Audi brand.” Technology will therefore no longer be enclosed, but rather exposed. For the first time, the union of technology and design will emphasize internal technical elements so strongly that it will create a new dimension of product authenticity
Interior and exterior intertwine
Thanks to the holistic design, the interior and exterior of future model generations are more closely intertwined than ever to create a seamless unity that makes it easier to distinguish the models by their interiors as well. This additional differentiation further accentuates the unique character of each model in the cabin, which is focused on the driver. “Our refined strategy at Audi Design emphasizes clarity and a focus on the essentials,” says Egger in summary.
Introducing studio concept
The Concept Design Studio in Munich is showing the way and reflects the freedom in the work process of the creative talents. The studio philosophy that has proved so effective at the Munich studio will now also make its way to the design studios in Ingolstadt. Thanks to Wolfgang Egger’s studio concept, the three segments of automotive design – Interior, Exterior and Color&Trim – will work more closely together at Audi headquarters in the future in order to design a car from a holistic perspective, particularly during the initial creative phase
All of these factors will result in greater differentiation between the A, R and Q model lines in the future. Looking ahead, the design team is initially concentrating on the Q family which embodies a robust, distinctive appearance. BMW Seeks to Continue Sales Growth with New Manufacturing Plant in South America
BMW sets sights on global expansion as plans move forward for a new Brazilian manufacturing plant.
BMW is the world’s largest luxury automobile manufacturer. However, as Volkswagen AG continues to press the market, BMW is looking to strengthen its standing by expanding its global manufacturing presence. To accomplish this, BMW plans to spend $261 million to build its newest state-of-the-art factory in Brazil.
The new factory will be located in Santa Catarina, Brazil and is expected to be up and running by 2014. According to BMW’s head of sales and marketing, productions for the facility are expected to reach as many as 30,000 vehicles per year.
Boosting Global Production
In a media appearance, BMW’s head of sales and marketing, Ian Robertson announced, “The investment plan has been aligned with new automobile industry incentives and is the result of difficult work with Brazilian authorities during the last six months.” He also acknowledged that the company has plans to increase vehicle production as demand grows.
The original announcement to build the facility was made by BMW back in March of 2011, and the company is optimistic about the future of the factory as they work with the Brazilian government to finalize the project.
The factory is a response to the growing heat placed on the brand by the Volkswagen/Audi brand. Volkswagen recently announced plans for a new production facility in Mexico. BMW plans to expand into emerging markets to help boost sales by 20 percent in the next four years and counter VW’s efforts.
Brazil Welcomes Automakers
The decision to build a Brazilian plant was also partly influenced by tax changes on imported vehicles and an increasing demand for luxury vehicles in South America. Brazil’s market is stronger than ever as it ramps up to host the World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympics in 2016.
To boost the struggling automotive market in Brazil, the Brazilian President announced tax breaks to incentivize carmakers including BMW. Automakers will be held to higher standards for environmental and safety standards in order to qualify for the additional tax breaks.
Sales Continue to Rise for BMW
As BMW continues to invest in the global marketplace, the company has seen positive results. In the first three quarters of 2012, BMW’s sales rose to 1.11 million vehicles – over halfway to its 2 million-unit sales goal.
Current sales in the United States have risen in the past few months. The BMW Group recently announced that October sales reached over 32,300 vehicles, representing an 18% increase over last October. Year to date, the company is up 8.4%.
