Santa Ana, California, April 27, 2012 – Commonwealth Volkswagen announced they will be getting the new 2013 VW Beetle TDI clean diesel that was recently introduced from Volkswagen. The new model is slated to hit showrooms later this year, and is causing lots of excitement in the meantime.
“Volkswagen continues to prove its commitment to providing innovative green technology, and fans of the VW Beetle will definitely appreciate this exciting new TDI model,” says Commonwealth Volkswagen General Manager Mike Westbrook.
The 2013 VW Beetle TDI is the latest in the new line-up of green cars introduced by Volkswagen this year. Featuring innovative clean diesel technology, the VW Beetle TDI is the most fuel-efficient Beetle to date, boasting an average of 29mpg in the city and 39mpg on the highway. Thanks to a turbocharged direct-injection 2.0 clean diesel engine, the new Beetle will get 140hp and offers 236lb-ft of torque. Fast and controlled, the new VW Beetle TDI definitely did not compromise power for efficiency.
“We are excited to get the new VW Beetle TDI in stock so California fans can take it out on a test drive and experience the difference for themselves,” says Westbrook.
